It's here! A first look at How to Style Your Brand

And so here I am, actually holding a real life copy of the book I've been dreaming, scheming, writing and designing for the last fifteen months! A book I've been dreaming about producing for years and years before that. It's a little surreal actually. How-to-Style-Your-Brand-Fiona-Humberstone

The advance copies actually arrived quite some time ago now - back in the craziness of March, just before the Colour for Creatives and Branding for Florists workshops and I just didn't have the time or headspace to do them justice. So short of much skipping about and showing them to anyone who passed our threshold, I haven't really made much of a fuss about them yet.

It's kind of weird holding a book in your hand that you have planned, written and designed. Because it pretty much looks as I expected it to. Does that sound strange? I'm genuinely thrilled with it. There are definitely things I might do differently were I to design it again (no time soon, that's for sure) but I really love it, and I don't often say that about my own stuff.

Another favourite spread, with work by the talented BraizenFiona Humberstone book How to Style Your Brand-7

I imagine that most of you reading the book will work with a designer or brand stylist - that's great. It's inspiring, exciting and it lets you get on with doing what you do best. But you still need to know how this stuff works - and so you'll find sections like the Design Your Logo Like a Pro will give you the essential perspective to be able to review the work your designer produces with confidence. Aren't these designs gorgeous - created by the very talented Angela Scheffer of Saffron Avenue.

It doesn't need to be like that and here I give top tips on managing your relationship well and ensuring you get the very best work for your business.

How to Style Your Brand is now available for preorder

And on that note, I'm thrilled to announce that the book is now available to preorder on Amazon in the UK, Amazon.com and also for worldwide shipping direct from my distributors for those of you that live in farther flung corners of the world.

Amazon placed their first pre-order order with me today which was a huge milestone and I just want to say a massive THANK YOU to those of you who have already preordered, I really appreciate it - when I last checked the book was at number 7 in the Sales and Marketing bestseller lists which is just amazing, a month before the release date. Thank you so much, I know you're going to love it.

We've put so much into this book - I've poured energy, time, passion and expertise in, not to mention a considerable sum of cash! And it's great to see things coming together. I've sent out a few digital advance copies for review and I've been thrilled with the responses. Here are just a few:

"Wow, it is so so soooo beautiful! Love it!" Shauna Haider, Nubby Twiglet/ Branch

"It’s super comprehensive, you’ve done a great job :-)" Ursula Wesselingh, Room to Bloom

Yikes!!! As ever, I have so much I want to share with you and so little time, but the plan is to share more useful guides like the Planning Workbook over the next few weeks as we get closer to the book launch, and I haven't even told you about how the workshops went yet... That'll be another story for another day. Have a great week and I look forward to catching up soon...
